Inside
This family country home combines spacious rooms with characterful furniture. Despite its grand exterior, there’s a homely feel to the interiors of this property, you'll feel that you can kick back, relax and make yourselves at home. Split into two wings, if you're a smaller group then you still have access to all the spacious reception rooms, although not access to the bedrooms in the East Wing.
- Style: Comfortable charm, the reception rooms lead off the main spacious hallway.
- Bedrooms: There is a downstairs bedroom in the annexe with adjacent bathroom (suitable for an au pair/teenagers). In the Monument Wing there are two double rooms that share a bathroom complete with clawfoot bath. One of these doubles has a small room leading off that is perfect for a baby in a cot. There is a third double and a spacious wet room with power shower. In the Quantock Wing, there is a children’s double room, two small double rooms and a zip/link bedroom that share a family bathroom which has a bath with shower over.
- For relaxation: Soothing pastel shades combine to create a calming ambience in the main sitting room, where features such as the 16ft high corniced ceiling and shuttered windows add character. Alternatively, if you're looking for a little me time, take a good book and a glass of wine into the second sitting room, throw open the French doors and let the outside in.
- For recreation: There are small football nets in the front garden, perfect for kids, big and little! There’s a piano in the sitting room if you’re feeling inspired musically; and a small snooker table in the games room.
- Practicalities: There is a utility room at the property with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
Outside
Set in three acres, there is a flat lawn to the back of the property, a circular lawn to the front (complete with small football nets) with large cedar trees rising above. Please note, the house is a short distance from the road, and traffic noise can be heard from the garden.

- Visit the romantic Dunster Castle (around half an hour from the property) with its dramatic hilltop location that enjoys sweeping views over Exmoor and the Bristol Channel. From the beautiful terraced gardens full of subtropical plants to the National Collection of strawberry trees and a beautiful riverside walk - a really special place to visit.
- For a day/evening out visit the Brewhouse Theatre & Arts Centre where a varied programme of events for all ages includes comedy nights, music, theatre, exhibitions, workshops and classes.
- Visit the set of Jane Austens Sense and Sensibility – Montacute House. This magnificent Elizabethan Ham-stone manor house, incorporating National Portrait Gallery exhibition, garden and park is filled with historic treasures
